We are looking for a dynamic and responsible Sr. HR Executive for our Ahmedabad office who has strong experience in manufacturing HR functions, especially managing blue-collar employees, factory manpower coordination, recruitment, compliance, and employee engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sr. HR Executive, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including:
1. Blue-Collar Workforce Management
- Manage end-to-end HR activities for blue-collar employees.
- Coordinate with plant teams regarding manpower requirements and workforce planning.
- Handle worker attendance, leave management, absenteeism control, and shift-related coordination.
- Maintain strong relationships with workers and support smooth employee relations.
- Address worker concerns and coordinate with management for timely resolutions.
- Support productivity improvement through proper manpower planning.
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to company rules and policies.
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage the complete recruitment cycle for manufacturing positions, including:
- Machine Operators
- Production Staff
- Maintenance Technicians
- Quality Staff
- Supervisors
- Engineers
- Plant Support Staff
- Source candidates through job portals, consultants, references, and local networks.
- Coordinate interviews with plant management and department heads.
- Manage offer discussions,
joining formalities, and onboarding processes.
- Build a strong candidate database for future manpower requirements.
- Employee Onboarding & Documentation
- Complete current employee onboarding formalities.
- Verify employee documents and maintain personal files.
- Prepare appointment letters, employment agreements, and other HR documentation.
- Conduct employee induction and orientation programs.
- Maintain updated employee records in HR systems.
- Attendance, Payroll & HR Operations
- Maintain accurate attendance and leave records.
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with the Accounts/Payroll team.
- Track overtime, incentives, deductions, and employee benefits.
- Maintain employee databases and HR MIS reports.
- Prepare monthly HR reports for management review.
- Manufacturing Plant Coordination (Africa Operations)
- Coordinate with international manufacturing plants for HR requirements.
- Support recruitment and deployment of Indian employees for overseas operations.
- Coordinate documentation, joining processes, travel-related HR support, and employee communication.
- Maintain regular communication between the Ahmedabad office and overseas plant teams.
- Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster positive employee relations across all levels.
- Conduct employee communication activities.
- Address employee queries professionally.
- Support employee motivation and retention initiatives.
- Organize employee engagement activities and celebrations.
- Assist management in building a positive workplace culture.
- Performance Management Support
- Coordinate employee performance review processes.
- Follow up with department heads for performance feedback.
- Maintain KPI and appraisal-related documentation.
- Support training and employee development activities.
- HR Compliance & Administration
- Maintain knowledge of basic manufacturing HR compliance requirements.
- Ensure proper employee documentation and record-keeping.
- Support the implementation of company HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate office administration activities as needed.
Required Skills & Competencies
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and competencies:
- Strong experience in manufacturing company HR operations.
- Experience managing a blue-collar workforce is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, HR MIS, and documentation.
- Professional attitude with an employee-focused approach.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with senior management.
