WHAT YOU'LL OWN

1. Entity resolution and data integrity — your first 60 days
Replace text-similarity matching with a deterministic-first identity layer. GCLID, UTM parameters, campaign IDs, lead_source and stage_name from Salesforce, email domains, platform-native IDs. Build the deterministic join hierarchy, then fuzzy/semantic matching strictly as a last-resort tier with honest confidence scoring — not as the default path. Kill the blanket 90-day fallback and replace it with something that returns "unknown" instead of a bad guess.
2. Ingestion quality gates
Classification and filtering before data reaches the attribution engine. Recurring subscriptions, autopays, payroll, FX-converted transactions (we pay contractors in USD and get debited in INR — that has to normalize),



and noise all need to be typed and either excluded or routed. Nothing untyped reaches the math.
3. Attribution engine correctness and cost
Make Shapley tractable — Monte Carlo sampling, coalition pruning, caching, whatever holds up. Order the Markov chain temporally. Fix the exponential-decay recency bias currently inverting campaign rankings. Own the confidence scoring end to end, including the hard lock that keeps anything under 35% out of a SCALE or KILL verdict.
4. Evaluation and ground truth
Build the synthetic dataset with known-correct linkages and stand up a regression harness that runs on every change. Report accuracy as a real number with a real methodology. We cannot sell a subscription until this clears 90%, and you are the person who makes that number defensible.
