Job Description – MEP BIM Design EngineerCompany: URC ConstructionPosition: MEP BIM Design EngineerLocation: Chennai – Corporate OfficeExperience: 1–4 YearsEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleURC Construction is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented MEP BIM Design Engineer to join our Corporate Office in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in BIM-based MEP design and modelling for building/construction projects and should be capable of coordinating MEP services with architectural and structural disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain MEP BIM models for building and construction projects.Prepare and update BIM models for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and other MEP services.Create detailed 2D drawings, layouts, sections and coordinated MEP drawings from BIM models.Coordinate MEP services with Architectural and Structural BIM models.Identify and resolve clashes/interferences between MEP systems and other disciplines.Participate in BIM coordination meetings and incorporate required design changes.Prepare shop drawings, coordinated drawings and as-built drawings as required.Ensure BIM models and drawings comply with project specifications, standards and design requirements.Review models and drawings for accuracy,



completeness and constructability.Coordinate with Design, Planning, Execution and Project teams to resolve technical issues.Maintain proper documentation and revision control of BIM models and drawings.Required SkillsHands-on experience in BIM modelling and MEP design.Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP is mandatory.Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM coordination processes.Valuable understanding of MEP systems and building services.Knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and coordination will be an added advantage.Ability to read and understand MEP, architectural and structural drawings.Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.EducationB.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical engineering discipline.Preferred Experience1–4 years of relevant experience in MEP BIM modelling/design.Experience in building/high-rise/commercial/hospital projects will be an added advantage.Candidates with hands-on experience in Revit MEP and BIM coordination are preferred.Work Location: Chennai Corporate OfficeIndustry: Construction / EPC / Building ProjectsContact details:E: [email protected]: 95666 53511
