nPosition Summary
nThe candidate will be part of the Industrial Valves ETO group Engineering team, supporting creation of Bills of materials, 3D CAD models and Engineering drawings for various valves projects and will be based in Coimbatore, India and reports to the Head - Engineering (Industrial valves).
nThis position requires interactions with other engineering associates, suppliers, and functional department personnel (production, supply chain, quality, project management, application engineering, etc.) in a concurrent Engineering workplace to develop economical design solutions.
nProficiency in 3D modeling, assembly & 2D drafting using SolidWorks is preferred.
nPrincipal Activities

- Prepares Design 3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and all design related documentation or reports.n




- Follow standard practices in creation of BOM in ERP based on engineering guidelinesn
- Support engineered to order (ETO) activities for control valvesn
- Update and standardize drawings to meet latest standards and Engineering guidelines.n
- Actively contribute and support Continuous improvement activities to reduce lead time of BOM, model and drawing creation and increase productivityn
- Contribute to business improvement activities, specifically Kaizen events and problem-solving activities.n
- Performs tolerance stack-ups, fits and clearances, and stress, strain and flow calculations as required.n
- Works with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Procurement, Operations and Project Management to ensure designs are manufacturable, inspectable, and within cost targets.n
