Job Summary
We are looking for a Jr. Design & Development Engineer to support our Design & Development team in designing and developing corrugated packaging products as per customer requirements. The candidate should have knowledge of packaging design, corrugated box design, AutoCAD, and packaging development.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and modify packaging designs as per customer requirements.
• Develop corrugated box designs, layouts, and structural drawings.
• Prepare technical drawings and designs using AutoCAD.
• Understand customer drawings, specifications, dimensions, and packaging requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, PPC, Sales, and Dispatch teams for design-related requirements.
• Assist in developing new packaging designs and improving existing designs.
• Check dimensions, board specifications, flute combinations, and box construction.
• Prepare design drawings, samples, and technical documents.
• Support trial production and resolve design-related issues.
• Ensure designs are practical for manufacturing and cost-effective.
• Maintain proper records of drawings,



revisions, and approved designs.
• Coordinate with customers when required for design clarification.
Required Qualifications
• Diploma / Degree in Packaging Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the packaging/corrugated box industry.
• Candidates with experience in other manufacturing/design industries may also be considered.
Required Skills
• Good knowledge of Packaging Design & Development.
• Positive working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of corrugated box design and manufacturing will be an advantage.
• Understanding of packaging dimensions, board specifications, flute types, and box construction.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Good problem-solving skills.
