About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Gaming company in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile live ops and a passion for gaming. The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a cloud-based data pipeline and architecture for our growing list of web-based and mobile game titles in live ops.





Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain a cloud-based data pipeline for various web and mobile games in live ops.
- Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and design data solutions that meet those needs.
- Write high-performance, scalable, and maintainable code for data, organising, processing and storage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game developers, data scientists, and operations teams, to ensure data is being used effectively to support live ops.
- Monitor and maintain data quality, security, and privacy standards.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the video gaming industry, and recommend recent tools and techniques that can improve the data pipeline.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on live ops in a video gaming environment.
- Strong proficiency in MongoDB, Postgres and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS Glue).
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub).
- Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
- Familiarity with data security and privacy standards and best practices
