This role plays a key part in fulfilling this mandate and improving every customer interaction irrespective of the touchpoint, the evolution of e-commerce, or improving the way our websites support customers to fulfil their needs. You will as a Senior DevOps Engineer work in the team that is responsible for development and the adoption of CXS and IES wide Intelligent Data Solution s . These services accelerate and enable value-add data driven customer experience solutions. Specifically, you and your team will develop ML/AI services to support our customers in near real-time with the relevant information and decisions. All key customer engagement touchpoints like SAP.com, SAP Community and SAP for Me will adopt the mentioned services and associated Architecture patterns.

The role is positioned in the global unit Customer Experience Solutions (CXS) in the Intelligent Enterprise Services (IES) which strives to provide and evolve a seamless and superior experience in the area of SAP’s customer-facing IT.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

The role of the IT Senior Developer (Microservice/API Developer) in the Customer Experience Solutions (CXS) organization works in strictly Scrum driven projects with the Product Owner and Business Owner in order to understand the business goals and values and translates them into technical software with a focus on scalable and robust microservices which expose APIs. The role works with the Scrum team on the implementation of these value driven requirements in distributed, service orientated, often ML based applications, and uses DevOps best practices to automate all infrastructure and application configurations.

What you bring





- Strong experience in scalable and resilient microservice architecture and implementations running in containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes) in the cloud (BTP and Hyperscaler, preferable Azure)
- Experiences with ML/AI projects in respect to the related processes of model building and deploying these to production
- Experience of API design and documentation via OpenAPI specs which allows to abstract and interface services from the implementation logics
- Robust conceptual thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Be able to write clean, configurable and reusable code
- Strong execution skills in day-to-day business, but also able to make "one step back" to get an overview of things
- Understand and live Scrum methodology
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English – German is plus

Additional Experience

- Java/JEE, Python, NodeJS, Web Services (REST) and test automation
- Familiarity with Machine learning libraries and frameworks
- Experience in remediating and cleansing custom code
- Cloud native architecture design and implementation know-how
- Continuous Integration tools such as Bamboo or Jenkins
- Linux command line and Bash experience
