Responsibilities
Position Summary

The developer analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processes or to improve existing systems. Provides technical knowledge, system design techniques, methodologies, tools, and standards utilized in the IT and business environment.
As a key member of the SAP Core team, provide support to the business community for SAP in the ABAP Technical Development area. This includes all new projects and enhancements as well as production support across all functional areas within SAP.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Full understanding of SAP ABAP development
- Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
- Lead small projects or engage with other project personnel to ensure business application systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices
- Own technical delivery adhering to standards and process.

- Provide programming expertise, usually as a member of a project team, in the analysis, design, and development of SAP reports, interfaces, business forms, conversions, and user exits
- Provide estimates for the programming and unit testing activities of a project when needed
- Write new and modify existing data sources, infosets and queries
- Develop and support interfaces to numerous legacy and third-party systems using a variety of techniques such as LSMW, BAPI, IDOC, RFC calls, BDC, and call transaction update methods
- Perform program performance optimization and tuning where necessary




- Specialized knowledge and expertise in the advanced SAP Technical areas ABAP on S4 HANA, Interface technologies, UI Technologies, Troubleshooting to overcome the technical challenges with the latest SAP tools, in addition to the superior command over Core ABAP.
- Hands on experience in S/4 HANA with strong ABAP on HANA programming skills
- Develop and support Rest API services using OData and CDS views
- Research and apply OSS notes
- Follow the IT Software Development Life Cycle process
- Utilization of advanced debugging techniques
- Write detailed technical documentation of program functions.
- Cross team communication and collaboration
- Ability to mentor and manage teams.
- Drive the initiatives like process excellence
- Lead Code review and Build relations with cross functional teams
- Lead troubleshooting efforts.
- Ability to prioritize the work by working with the Functional team and Customers
- Knowledge and experience in Agile, Scrum, SAFe methodologies plus, but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in non-technical terms.
- Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Participate in off-hours meetings

Requirements (Must Have)

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, equivalent work experience acceptable
- Strong interpersonal and excellent documentation skills are a must
- Ability to work independently to achieve results but also to participate effectively as a team player




- Ability to explain and champion technical concepts to a broad audience
- Knowledge of creating and maintaining detailed project plans utilizing Microsoft products
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Pro-active, helpful, 'can-do' attitude
- Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Self-managing and self-motivating, able to prioritize tasks effectively and meet customer deadlines and expectations

Software requirements

- SAP 4.7EE, SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4 HANA
- 6 to 8 years SAP ABAP development experience
- Completed at least 1 full cycle implementation
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of ABAP
- Proven ability utilizing BADI's, BAPI's, LSMW, ALE, RFC calls, IDOC, BDC, business objects, classes and methods, Adobe Forms, Smartforms, SAPScripts, Data Dictionary, ALV
- Experience with implicit and explicit enhancements, screen exits, and menu exits
- Workflow experience, including support and debugging
- Solid ABAP debugging skills
- Experience in building Rest API services using OData, CDS Views and AMDP.
- Experience in several of the following modules: SD/SM, FI/CO, MM/PP, QM

Requirements (Desired)

- Relevant technical certificates a plus
- Knowledge of CRM is beneficial
- Knowledge of NetWeaver 7.0 experience is beneficial
- Knowledge of BI is beneficial
- Experience with other programming languages, such as Java, XML, is beneficial
- Experience or knowledge in creating iFlows using SAP BTP technologies, knowledge/experience in UI technologies is beneficial
