Role Description The Business Development Manager role at One Million SqFt is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The person in this role will identify and pursue recent business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with clients, and develop strategic partnerships that expand the company’s market presence. Daily activities include researching potential markets and customers, preparing and delivering presentations, negotiating commercial terms, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery. The Business Development Manager will track sales pipelines, analyze performance metrics, and provide regular reporting and forecasts to leadership. This role also involves participating in industry events, representing the brand professionally, and gathering market feedback to refine offerings and strategies.
Qualifications
Strong business development, sales, and client relationship management capabilities, with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
Experience in market research, competitor analysis,



and strategic planning to support sustainable growth.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels.
Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deals and priorities.
Prior experience in real estate, construction, property management, or a related industry is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Comfort working on-site in Chennai and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in using CRM tools, productivity software, and basic data analysis to track and improve performance.
