Role Description
The Junior Art Director role at Meraki Square is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. This role involves supporting the development of visual concepts for campaigns, assisting in art direction across digital and print, and collaborating with designers, copywriters, and strategists to maintain cohesive branding. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and refining graphic design assets, preparing layouts and presentations, and ensuring visual consistency across all brand touchpoints. The Junior Art Director will participate in brainstorming sessions, interpret creative briefs, and help translate ideas into polished visual outputs aligned with client objectives.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Creative Direction and Art Direction to support concept development and visual storytelling.
Candidates should possess skills in Branding to help build and maintain consistent brand identities across campaigns.
Candidates should possess skills in Graphics and Graphic Design to create high-quality visual assets for digital and print media.




Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (such as Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent) and a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow creative guidelines, and openness to feedback and collaboration.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site team environment in Kolkata.
A diploma or degree in Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field is preferred, along with any agency or internship experience.

Requirements
2–5 years of experience as a Graphic Designer in a branding, advertising, or digital marketing agency.
Robust proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma.
Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro is an added advantage.
Good understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and layout design.
Ability to create both digital and print-ready designs.
