Job Description: Business Development Manager – Events

About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager – Events to drive current business acquisition and revenue growth for our agency's events and experiential marketing vertical. The ideal candidate will have a strong network in the industry, a sharp eye for opportunity, and the ability to convert leads into long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
• Identify, prospect, and pursue new business opportunities for BTL/experiential/event-based mandates
(corporate events, brand activations, exhibitions, product launches, conferences, if applicable, etc.)
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and industry events
• Prepare and deliver compelling pitches, proposals, and presentations to prospective clients
• Collaborate with the creative, production, and operations teams to develop winning event concepts and
accurate costings




• Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and close deals within approved margins
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities
• Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the events/advertising space
• Represent the agency at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
• Maintain accurate records of leads, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts (CRM reporting)
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely invoicing and payment collection from clients
• Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly/annual revenue and client acquisition targets

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, or related field (MBA
preferred)
• 2–6 years of experience in business development/sales, preferably within an advertising, events, or
experiential marketing agency
