Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Tax Associate to manage day-to-day taxation and compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in GST and TDS compliances, reconciliations, return filings, and accounting functions. The candidate should be capable of independently handling routine tax matters, maintaining compliance records, and coordinating with clients for timely submissions.
Candidates with prior experience in a CA Firm will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Taxation & Compliance
Prepare and file GST Returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Returns, etc.).
Prepare and file TDS Returns accurately within statutory timelines.
Perform GST, TDS, and ledger reconciliations.
Reconcile books of accounts with GST portal data, Form 26AS, and other statutory records.
Assist in Income Tax compliance and preparation of supporting schedules.
Maintain tax compliance calendars and ensure timely filing of returns.
Handle routine notices, queries, and documentation related to GST and TDS.
Coordinate with clients for tax-related data and compliance requirements.
Accounting & Reporting
Review accounting entries and books of accounts maintained in Tally Prime.
Perform ledger scrutiny and account reconciliations.
Ensure accuracy of financial records and supporting documentation.
Prepare tax working papers, schedules, and compliance reports.
Generate and maintain MIS reports using MS Excel.
Team Handling & Coordination
Allocate work among junior team members and monitor task completion.
Review work performed by junior associates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Guide and support team members in GST, TDS, and accounting-related activities.
Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Report work status and compliance updates to management.
Assist in training and mentoring junior team members.
Maintaining books of accounts and passing accounting entries in Tally Prime.
