Performance Architect (10+ Years Experience)
Location: Bangalore, India
Experience: 10+ Years
About the Role
A Performance Test Architect designs and implements strategies to ensure
software scalability, reliability, and speed underload. They bridge development
and testing, defining test frameworks, identifying bottlenecks, and promoting
"shift-left" practices. Experts in tools like JMeter, they analyze complex
systems and provide performance tuning recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and own the performance architecture strategy across applications and
platforms.
* Design, script, and execute performance tests using JMeter (mandatory) to
simulate real-world user behavior
* Develop scalable load models and define robust test data management
strategies
* Establish performance benchmarks, SLAs, and KPIs across systems
* Analyze performance test results and provide deep insights with actionable
recommendations
* Build and maintain real-time monitoring dashboards using Grafana
* Identify system bottlenecks (application, database, network) and guide teams
toward optimized solutions
* Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to embed
performance early into the SDLC
* Drive performance best practices, frameworks, and reusable solutions across
the organization
* Mentor junior engineers and lead performance engineering initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in performance testing/engineering, with exposure to
architecture-level responsibilities
* Experience in performance testing strategies for front end and backend
systems.
* Strong hands-on expertise with Apache JMeter (mandatory)
* Deep understanding of:
* Performance testing types (load, stress, endurance, spike testing)
* Performance engineering methodologies and architectural patterns
* Proven experience in:
* Designing enterprise-grade load models
* Creating scalable test data strategies
* Solid expertise in performance analysis, root cause ide
