Role Description The Senior Medical Coder is a full-time, in office role based in the Greater Coimbatore Area. This role is responsible for accurately assigning diagnosis and procedure codes, primarily using ICD and CPT/HCPCS guidelines, to support compliant billing, risk adjustment, and revenue integrity. The Senior Medical Coder reviews medical records, validates documentation, and collaborates with clinical and revenue cycle teams to resolve coding discrepancies and reduce denials. Daily responsibilities include performing complex coding assessments, supporting coding audits, contributing to clinical documentation improvement, and mentoring junior coders on best practices and regulatory updates. The individual in this role is expected to maintain high productivity and accuracy, stay current on payer and CMS regulations, and support continuous process improvement across coding operations.
