Job Purpose

To architect, optimize, and govern the end-to-end supply chain network—from manufacturing plants to distribution depots—ensuring seamless product availability at optimal inventory levels. This role is accountable for establishing robust operational norms, driving continuous process improvement through systemic audits, and spearheading digitization projects to build a future-ready, data-driven supply chain ecosystem for the Mumbai region and pan-India operations.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Network Planning & Norm Management

Network Architecture: Define, design, and constantly refine the optimal distribution network for all products flowing from manufacturing plants to depots, balancing cost, service levels, and lead times.
Norm Standardization: Establish and govern inventory norms (Minimum Stock Levels, Maximum Stock Levels, Reorder Points, and Safety Stock) across all nodes (plants, warehouses, and depots) in alignment with organizational policies.
Supply Constraint Management:



Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Operations to dynamically modify the distribution network in response to real-time supply constraints, raw material shortages, or production disruptions.
Desirable Inventory Reduction: Continuously review node-wise inventory norms and aging stock; drive necessary interventions to systematically reduce undesirable, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory without compromising service levels.
Space Planning & Budgeting: Lead the annual and quarterly space planning exercises for warehouses and depots; develop and manage the associated logistics budget, ensuring cost optimization.
Sales Loss Analysis: Conduct monthly analysis of sales losses due to stock-outs or network inefficiencies; identify root causes and implement remedial strategies to recover lost revenue.
Service Reviews: Own the weekly service review process, monitoring delivery performance against plan and escalating critical bottlenecks for immediate resolution.
