Job Overview:
The Admission Counselor serves as the first point of contact for prospective students and their families, playing a critical role in guiding them through the admission process. The primary objective of this role is to convert inquiries into successful enrollments by providing accurate information, personalized counseling, and exceptional support throughout the applicant’s journey.
The counselor is responsible for promoting academic programs, managing leads, conducting follow-ups, and maintaining a positive and informative experience for all prospective students. This position requires robust communication skills, a student-centric approach, and the ability to manage a dynamic pipeline of candidates.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA) – Admission Counselor1. Student Counseling & Conversion
Provide detailed and accurate information to prospective students and parents regarding courses, eligibility,



admission process, and fee structure.
Counsel students through phone calls, emails, online chats, and in-person meetings.
Follow up on leads generated through various marketing campaigns and platforms.
Maintain conversion ratios from inquiry to application to final admission.
2. Admission Process Management
Assist students in the complete admission process, from inquiry to enrollment.
Verify academic documents and ensure all admission formalities are completed.
Maintain updated records of student data in portal.
3. Outreach & Lead Generation
Participate in outreach activities such as education fairs, school visits, webinars, etc.
Collaborate with the marketing team to generate and nurture leads through online and offline campaigns.
Represent the institution at external events to promote programs and attract potential students.
