Description

The Staff Accountant provides day-to-day accounting support within the accounting operations team. This role is responsible for managing billing and cash application activities, preparing reconciliations and journal entries, supporting month-end close processes, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Enter and apply cash receipts within the accounting system.
Process and manage billing transactions for clients.
Reconcile billing discrepancies and ensure timely, accurate invoicing.
Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
Prepare monthly accruals and create journal entries for accrual postings.
Complete ASC 606 revenue recognition files and related reporting activities.
Prepare and maintain Excel-based reports and supporting documents.
Prepare bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Collaborate with internal teams to research and resolve outstanding accounting or billing issues.




Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
3–5+ years of accounting experience, including accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger support.
Robust understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Comfortable working in a structured, process-oriented environment with client-specific procedures.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy mindset.
Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong computer and general office skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational, documentation, time-management, multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
