Role Summary :
We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to serve as a technical owner on a client platform, contributing across the full software lifecycle from design and development to production support. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Rails and PostgreSQL, strong experience integrating third-party APIs under real-world constraints (rate limits, quotas, uptime SLAs), and the ability to design resilient, production-grade systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating with significant autonomy, communicating clearly with both technical and business stakeholders, and maintaining high engineering discipline over a sustained engagement.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, build, and maintain features end-to-end within a Ruby on Rails application, from requirements through deployment and support.
Design and implement resilient API client patterns, retries, exponential backoff, circuit breaking, and idempotent request handling.




Integrate with third-party REST APIs, including those with rate limits, usage quotas, or uptime constraints.
Work with AWS services at an application-integration level, including RDS and Secrets Manager.
Design and support event-driven / webhook-based architectures.
Participate in CI/CD pipeline workflows and manage code promotion across different environments.
Maintain strong git hygiene, including clean commit practices and disciplined code review participation.
Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve production issues as part of ongoing platform support.

Requirements

Must Have Skills:
5–6 years of qualified experience with Ruby on Rails, including end-to-end design and development of production applications.
Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, schema design, data modeling, and query performance tuning.
