QA Analyst – Adobe Analytics (Streaming Media)

About the Role
We're hiring a QA Analyst to validate Adobe Analytics implementations across streaming media platforms — web, mobile app, and connected/OTT devices. This role sits at the intersection of tag QA and media analytics validation, ensuring that every stream, play event, and ad impression is captured accurately across our platforms. Candidates from OTT, video streaming, audio streaming, or live-streaming backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end QA validation of Adobe Analytics implementations across Web SDK, Mobile SDK, and Media SDK (Heartbeat) deployments — approx. 30% of role time dedicated to QA/validation work, remainder split across implementation support, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
Validate media/streaming-specific tracking: play, pause, stop, seek, buffer events, bitrate/quality switches, content milestones (25/50/75/100%), ad start/skip/complete, and chapter/segment tracking.
Use Charles Proxy to intercept, inspect,



and validate outbound network calls (hits and heartbeat pings) against expected Adobe Analytics variable mapping — confirming correct eVar/prop/event firing, payload structure, and timing intervals.
Use Adobe Experience Platform Debugger and Chrome DevTools to cross-verify tag firing sequence, XDM schema mapping, and datastream routing.
Validate accuracy of media-specific KPIs (see below) against source-of-truth player/CDN logs.
Document QA test cases, defect logs, and validation reports for each release/deployment cycle.
Partner with implementation engineers, product, and content teams to triage tracking discrepancies before they reach production reporting.
Support QA across platform types: responsive web players, native iOS/Android apps, and connected TV/OTT apps where applicable.
