Role & responsibilities :

Manage and supervise a team of welders and welding technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
Ensure all welding work meets industry standards and specifications; perform inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Plan and coordinate welding projects, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgeting.
Promote a culture of safety by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including inspections, certifications, and equipment maintenance.
Develop and implement welding procedures and work instructions to enhance operational efficiency.
Conduct regular performance evaluations of welding personnel and implement training programs to improve skills.
Manage inventory levels of welding supplies and equipment,



ensuring timely procurement and maintenance.
Oversee the setup and calibration of welding equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
Address and resolve any technical issues related to welding processes or equipment in a timely manner.
Prepare reports on welding production metrics, quality issues, and safety compliance for management review.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team involvement in process optimization initiatives.
Ensure effective communication of project requirements and deadlines to the welding team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., IWE) are a plus.

Technical Competencies:

Proficient in various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
Robust understanding of welding codes and standards (AWS, ASME).
Familiarity with welding equipm
