Senior AI Engineer / Technical Lead
Own the technical architecture for a quotation platform, document and email extraction, supplier price gathering, quote generation with human approval gates
Take technical ownership of the email/CRM assistant, currently in test
Review code and set the standard for what “working” means — test coverage, failure handling, verification before sign-off
Mentor one junior developer, growing to a small team
Translate technical decisions and trade-offs into plain language for non-technical stakeholders
Give estimates that hold, and flag early when they won’t
Required
3+ years building production software; at least 1 in a senior or lead capacity
Strong Python
Has built and operated LLM-based systems in production — not prototypes. Prompt design,



structured output, handling low-confidence cases, cost and latency control
Experience extracting structured data from unstructured documents (PDF, Word, Excel, email) and a transparent-eyed view of where it fails
API integration work — third-party CRMs, email protocols (IMAP/SMTP), webhooks
Has been on the hook when something broke in production
Has reviewed a junior’s code and helped them improve
Written and spoken English strong enough for daily calls with non-native and non-technical colleagues
Nice to have
HubSpot or comparable CRM APIs
Cloud deployment and monitoring (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Multi-agent or orchestrated LLM architectures
Exposure to embedded Linux or edge devices
Jira, Confluence
