Job Summary:
We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer with experience in structural steel design to join our Cochin office. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in connection design and experience designing steel structures such as metal canopies and tensile shade structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Structural analysis and design of steel structures, including canopies and tensile shade/fabric-supporting structures
Design of steel connections (bolted, welded, moment, base plate, etc.)
Preparation of structural calculations and design reports
Coordination with architects and fabrication/site teams during design development
Review of shop drawings for design compliance
Ensuring designs comply with applicable Indian and international structural codes
Support in technical proposals and estimation as required
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
2+ years of relevant experience in structural steel design, with hands-on connection design experience
Experience designing metal canopies, tensile shade structures, or similar lightweight steel systems preferred
Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS)
Solid communication and coordination skills
