Job Summary
MNR University is looking for a responsible, accurate and detail-oriented Accountant & Cashier to manage day-to-day accounting activities, cash transactions, fee collections, banking transactions and financial records.
The candidate should have positive knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, Tally, cash handling and reconciliation, with the ability to maintain accurate financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain day-to-day books of accounts using accounting software/Tally.
Record receipts, payments, journal and contra entries.
Handle daily cash receipts, payments, deposits and petty cash.
Maintain the cash book, ledgers and supporting accounting records.
Prepare accounting vouchers, invoices and payment entries.
Collect student fees and issue receipts as required.
Maintain daily cash collection and deposit records.




Perform regular cash and bank reconciliation.
Verify and process vendor bills and payments.
Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Monitor daily cash flow and ensure timely recording of transactions.
Maintain proper filing of vouchers, invoices, receipts and other financial documents.
Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing.
Prepare accounting statements and reports for management.
Assist internal and external auditors by providing required records and documents.
Follow university accounting policies, internal controls and applicable statutory requirements.
Coordinate with the Finance & Accounts team for day-to-day financial activities.
Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.
Qualification
B.Com / Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent is preferred.
M.Com or MBA (Finance) can be an added advantage.
