Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a CAD / Mechanical Design Engineer (UAV Systems). The engineer will design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems using CAD tools, ensuring structural integrity, manufacturability, and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating detailed 3D models and drawings, performing basic tolerance and fit analyses, collaborating with cross-functional teams for integration of mechanical and electronic systems, and supporting design reviews.



The role also involves preparing documentation and specifications, coordinating with manufacturing partners, and providing design support through the prototype and testing phases. The engineer will continuously refine designs based on feedback, test results, and evolving project requirements.
Qualifications
Programming skills relevant to engineering workflows, such as scripting for CAD automation, data processing, or basic control algorithms.
Machining-related skills, including understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, materials, and design for manufacturability.
Teaching or mentoring skills, including the ability to share knowledge, provide clear technical explanations, and support team learning.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar) and experience creating detailed drawings and assemblies.
Background in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or a related field,
