Job Title: Elevator Testing and Commissioning Engineer

Location: Ahmedabad
Department: Installation / Projects / Engineering
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Commissioning Manager / Project Manager
(Only Male)

Key Responsibilities:

Perform pre-commissioning and final testing of elevator systems in accordance with technical specifications and standards.

Conduct inspections to verify mechanical, electrical, and control system readiness.

Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during testing and coordinate resolutions with the installation and engineering teams.

Execute safety and functionality checks as per relevant codes (EN 81, IS 14665, etc.).

Document test results, prepare commissioning reports, and obtain necessary approvals.

Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and clients for inspection schedules and approvals.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company quality standards during testing activities.

Support the handover process to clients by demonstrating system functionality.

Maintain records of tools, equipment, and calibration certificates used during testing.

Provide technical support during maintenance or upgrade of existing elevator systems when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

-
Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.

2–5 years of experience in elevator/lift testing and commissioning.

In-depth knowledge of elevator systems including traction, hydraulic, and machine-room-less (MRL) systems.

Familiarity with elevator safety codes and compliance standards (e.g., EN 81, ISO, IS codes).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Positive communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.

Hands-on experience with testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
