Job Title: Special Educator / Shadow Teacher (Home-based, Part-Time Contract)

Location: Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad, Kerala (In-person / Home-based)

Job Type: Part-Time / Contractual (6 Months)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Weekends Off)

Remuneration: ₹18,000 / month

About the Role

We are a private family seeking a energetic, compassionate, and experienced Special Educator to provide structured home-based coaching and skill development for a 7-year-old child diagnosed with mild autism spectrum condition.

The ideal candidate will combine expertise in special education techniques with a good command of the Class 2 CBSE curriculum to ensure both academic learning and behavioral/social support.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Coaching: Teach and adapt Class 2 CBSE subjects (English, Mathematics, EVS) using multisensory learning techniques suited for children with mild autism.

Skill Development: Work on improving attention span, social communication, emotional regulation, fine-motor/writing skills, and independent study habits.

Structured Routines: Conduct engaging 3-hour sessions daily (2 PM to 5 PM) maintaining a supportive, calm, and structured learning setting.





Individualized Learning: Tailor teaching methods dynamically according to the child's daily focus levels and sensory preferences.

Progress Tracking: Regularly communicate progress, challenges, and milestones with the parents.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education (B.Ed / M.Ed in Special Education), Diploma in Special Education (D.Ed), or a related degree in Child Psychology / Behavioral Therapy.

Certification: RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration is preferred, though relevant hands-on experience will be prioritized.

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience working directly with children on the autism spectrum.

Curriculum Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the Class 2 CBSE syllabus and foundational teaching methodologies.

Languages: Proficiency in Malayalam (for comfortable interaction) and functional English (for academic instruction).

Attributes: High patience, creativity in lesson planning, energetic personality, and a compassionate approach to special needs education.
