- Provide comprehensive medical management of critically ill patients in the ICU, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring.
- Perform and manage invasive and non -invasive ventilation, including intubation, ventilator weaning, and troubleshooting.
- Insert and manage central venous lines and arterial lines under sterile conditions, ensuring patient safety and accurate hemodynamic monitoring.
- Diagnose and treat shock and sepsis using advanced protocols, including early goal -directed therapy and source control.
- Manage multiorgan failure through coordinated interventions involving respiratory, renal, cardiovascular, and metabolic support.
- Administer and titrate inotropes and vasopressors based on hemodynamic parameters and clinical response.
- Implement and monitor sedation and analgesia protocols to ensure patient comfort and prevent complications such as delirium.
- Utilize Point -of -Care Ultrasound (POCUS) for rapid assessment of cardiac function, fluid status, and procedural guidance.
- Lead and participate in emergency responses including cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and acute hemorrhage.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and specialists to optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely,
and detailed medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Participate in ICU quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality reviews, and clinical audits.
Requirements:
- MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, or equivalent (D.M. in Critical Care or DNB in Critical Care preferred).
- Completion of formal training in ICU procedures including intubation, central line insertion, arterial line placement, and emergency airway management.
- Hands -on experience with ventilator management (invasive and non -invasive), including modes, settings, and weaning protocols.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing shock, sepsis, and multiorgan failure in a high -pressure setting.
- Experience in titrating inotropes and vasopressors based on hemodynamic monitoring and clinical assessment.
- Competency in sedation and analgesia protocols, including use of sedation scales and prevention of complications.
- Proficiency in Point -of -Care Ultrasound (POCUS) for critical care applications.
- Strong understanding of emergency protocols and ability to lead or support rapid response in critical situations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Commitment to continuous learning, adherence to clinical guidelines, and patient -centered care.
- Valid medical registration and license to practice in India (as applicable).
