- Provide comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, and management of critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Perform and supervise invasive procedures including central line placement, arterial line insertion, endotracheal intubation, and mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings, hemodynamic support, and renal replacement therapy as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to ICU emergencies such as cardiac arrest, severe sepsis, and acute respiratory distress.
- Document patient care accurately and comprehensively in electronic health records (EHR) in real time.
- Participate in daily rounds, case discussions, and morbidity & mortality reviews.
- Stay current with clinical guidelines and best practices in critical care medicine.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior medical staff and medical students.
Requirements:
- MBBS degree with a solid academic record.
- Completion of internship and mandatory rotating internship (MRI) as per NMC guidelines.
- Demonstrated proficiency in critical care principles, including advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS).
- Familiarity with ICU protocols, monitoring systems, and invasive procedures.
- Solid understanding of anaesthesia basics, including airway management and pain control in critically ill patients.
- Excellent communication, decision -making, and multitasking skills under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast -paced, high -stress environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and on -call duties as required.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and state medical council.
