Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Reporter role based in the Greater Chennai Area. The Reporter will research, gather, and verify information from multiple sources to produce accurate and timely news and feature stories relevant to Vendasta’s audience. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting interviews, attending events or briefings, and transforming complex topics into clear, engaging written and multimedia content. The role involves collaborating with editorial, marketing, and product teams to align coverage with strategic priorities, while meeting deadlines and maintaining high journalistic standards. The Reporter will also monitor industry trends, propose story ideas, and ensure all content reflects Vendasta’s brand voice and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications
Robust Reporting skills, including research, fact-checking, and source development.
Excellent Writing and News Writing abilities,



with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and narrative structure.
Effective Communication skills for interviewing, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and presenting information.
Multimedia skills, such as working with digital formats, basic photo/video, or audio content for online publication.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in a newsroom, digital publication, or similar reporting environment.
Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chennai Area and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with digital publishing tools, content management systems, and analytics is an asset.
