Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer 3 with strong software development expertise to join our API Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver scalable, cloud-native APIs and services while driving engineering excellence and best practices across the team. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Architecture, Quality Engineering, and cross-functional engineering teams to shape technical direction and deliver secure, reliable, and customer-centric solutions.Job Requirements
4–7 years of relevant software development experience.
Solid programming skills in Node.js and Python, with experience delivering maintainable production-quality software.
Strong experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs and GraphQL APIs in production environments.
Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-native applications using AWS services.
Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, scalability,
performance optimisation, reliability, and testing practices.
Experience owning technical solutions and delivering features with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with Git-based version control, Bitbucket, Jira, CI/CD practices, and Agile development.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions through collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end delivery of medium to large features, from requirements analysis and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Python.
Design and enhance RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs for customer-facing and internal applications.
Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions for API platform capabilities
