Role Purpose
This incumbent should be a highly motivated Project Manager – DCBU to lead end-to-end execution of fiber-centric data center network infrastructure projects, including AI DatacentersKey Responsibilities
Manage structured cabling projects across all lifecycle phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
Lead deployment of fiber optic and copper cabling systems, including high-density and pre-terminated solutions.
Collaborate with design teams, customers, and stakeholders to gather telecom and cabling requirements.
Develop Project plans and schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Communication and governance plans.
Coordinate the setting up of overall project governance (e.g. project org charts; roles & responsibilities, RACI charts, communication / stakeholder management) required for each assigned project.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers.
Should be able to present and articulate: design solutions, installation methodologies and operational concepts.
Conduct regular customer reviews covering scope, risks, issues, and progress.
Manage and coordinate cable contractors, installers, and service vendors
Ensure adherence to: Corning installation standards and Industry standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC).
Lead contract discussions, including SOW preparation and price negotiation.
Ensure proper implementation of: Fiber optic systems (SMF/MMF, MTP/MPO) and Testing protocols (OTDR, certification).
Validate design compliance and installation quality.
Implement and drive Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Manage Project risks, prepare mitigation plans and change management and approvals.
Experiences/Education - Required
Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent
Excellent written, oral communication, listening skills.
Min 6-9 years of project management experience in data center/campus projects.
Willingness to travel frequently at short notice based on project location.
PMP and/or other equivalent level technical qualification
