Senior IT Security Analyst

Location: Pune, Maharashtra (Hybrid - 3 Days Work from Office, 2 Days Work from Home)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
Incident Response & Security Operations
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents.
- Perform forensic analysis of attack patterns and security events.
- Collaborate with SOC, CERT, and CSIRT teams for effective incident management.
- Handle phishing and other security incidents.

Threat Detection & Threat Hunting
- Develop and fine-tune advanced detection rules in Microsoft Sentinel.
- Create advanced KQL queries for threat analytics.
- Perform proactive threat hunting using the MITRE ATT&CK; framework.
- Develop and test hypothetical attack scenarios to improve detection capabilities.
- Reduce false positives through continuous optimization.

SIEM Administration
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Sentinel.
- Onboard and normalize log sources.
- Build and maintain security dashboards and automated playbooks.
- Ensure efficient log ingestion and monitoring.

Threat Intelligence




- Analyze threat intelligence feeds.
- Correlate threat intelligence with security detections.
- Provide actionable recommendations for emerging threats.

Security Tool Management
- Configure and manage:
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
- Defender for Cloud
- Defender for Identity
- Microsoft Defender for Office 365
- Exchange Security
- Azure Active Directory Security
- CrowdStrike
- Support endpoint protection and security monitoring solutions.

Continuous Security Improvement
- Conduct vulnerability assessments.
- Participate in penetration testing and security audits.
- Develop SOC processes, policies, and security monitoring standards.
- Support implementation of security hardening guidelines.

Required SkillsMandatory Skills
- 8-13 years of Cyber Security experience.
- Robust hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM).
- Advanced KQL query development.
