Job Responsibilities
- Operate CNC/VMC machines as per production requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Perform machine setting, tool loading, and tool offset adjustments.
- Check component dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
- Maintain required quality standards and production targets.
- Monitor machining operations and identify machine/process abnormalities.
- Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and 5S practices.
- Maintain basic machine and workplace cleanliness.
- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
- Minimize rejection, tool wear, and machine downtime.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Understanding of cutting tools, tool offsets, and basic machining parameters.
- Positive attention to quality and accuracy.
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical qualification preferred.
Experience
1-5 years of experience in CNC/VMC machine operation preferred.
Freshers with relevant technical qualifications may also be considered.
