A Packaging Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure products are packed efficiently and meet quality standards.
They set up machines, perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments as needed to maintain smooth production.
Packaging Technicians also monitor packaging materials, ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines, and complete necessary documentation. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a quick-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Operate packaging machinery to assemble, fill, seal, and label products.
- Monitor equipment performance and adjust it to ensure proper packaging.
- Perform routine maintenance on packaging equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and address issues related to packaging processes.
- Inspect packaged products for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate packaging schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of packaging activities, including quantity and specifications.
