QC Engineer Qc Improvement & Defect Detection Job Description Who you are/: Compare engineering drawings and quality control plans with physical, dimensional, and visual inspections of raw materials, outsourced components, in/-process machined parts, and final goods. To confirm crucial dimensions, use micrometres, height gauges, bore gauges, surface roughness testers, profile projectors, hardness testers, Vernier callipers, and CMMs /(Coordinate Measuring Machine/). Before authorising mass production runs, physically transparent the dimensions of the first "first/-off" sample components following setup modifications on machining, fabrication, or assembly lines. To stop defects from escaping, identify, tag, and quarantine non/-conforming materials; issue Non/-Conformance Reports; separate scrap; and keep an eye on rework lines.



Verify daily gauge zero/-setting, follow the shop/-floor gauge calibration tracking schedule, and perform routine Measurement System Analysis checks.
