VMC Setter Production Readiness & Setup Job Description/: Responsibilities/: VMC Setup & Fixture Alignment/: To achieve exact perpendicularity and parallelism, mount, align, and fasten hydraulic vices, toe clamps, modular tombstones, 4th/-axis rotary tables, and bespoke fixtures onto VMC machine beds using dial test indicators. Tooling Assembly & Preset Calibration/: Put together combinations of milling tools, measure tool projections, use optical z/-axis presetters or edge finders to calibrate tool length offsets and radius correction, and enter data into CNC controllers. G/-Code Program Verification & Dry/-execute Execution/: load VMC programs, check rapid tool motion clearances, execute air cuts and dry/-runs with single/-block execution, verify program blocks, and modify speeds and feeds to reduce vibration or collision hazards. Before batch production, carry out the first trial machining runs, use precision equipment to evaluate the first/-off component's dimensions and surface polish, and obtain QA sign/-off.
