Your main responsibility is to record, validate, and input medical charges, diagnostic codes, procedural codes, and patient demographic information into billing systems in order to produce clean insurance claims, while medical coders extract CPT/ICD/-10 codes from clinical charts and payment posting specialists reconcile insurance payments. As the "Guardian of Clean Claim Rates /(CCR/), Charge Capture Accuracy, Timely Filing Compliance, Fee Schedule Integrity, and Zero Billing Errors," you have direct responsibility for making sure each clinical service is appropriately converted into a billable claim.
