Job Overview
The Associate Testing Engineer is an entry-level role designed for fresh graduates who are passionate about software quality assurance and testing. The role involves learning and applying testing principles to ensure software applications are functional, reliable, and meet business requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in executing manual test cases for web, mobile, and backend applications.
Understand business requirements and convert them into test scenarios.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing under guidance.
Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
Ensure proper documentation of test results and defect lifecycle.
Help in creating and maintaining test cases and test data.
Execute test scripts and record results accurately.
Update test cases based on changes in requirements.
Work closely with development, business analysts, and QA leads.
Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings.
Communicate testing progress and issues clearly to team members.
Gain knowledge of testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
