Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage end-to-end procurement for Kesar Bazar. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in vendor sourcing, logistics coordination, cost control, and supplier relationship management to ensure smooth stock flow and cost-effective purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vendor Sourcing and Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for groceries, FMCG, dairy, and other product categories
- Maintain and update vendor database with pricing, MOQ, and lead times
- Build strong supplier relationships for better deals and priority service
2. Purchase Order Processing and Coordination
- Raise and track Purchase Orders on time with accuracy
- Coordinate with suppliers for order confirmation, dispatch, and timely delivery
- Follow-up with vendors for pending orders, shortages, and quality issues
3. Logistics and Delivery Tracking
- Track shipments and coordinate with logistics partners for timely delivery to store or warehouse
- Resolve delays, damages, and discrepancies with vendors and transporters
- Ensure proper documentation: invoices, GRN, and delivery challans
4. Cost Optimization and Negotiation
- Negotiate prices, payment terms,



and discounts to achieve cost savings
- Implement cost optimization strategies without compromising quality
- Compare quotes and analyze market trends for best value sourcing
5. Supplier Relationship and Team Coordination
- Maintain healthy communication with existing suppliers and resolve conflicts
- Work closely with store, warehouse, and accounts team for demand planning
- Report on procurement status, cost savings, and vendor performance to management
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 2-5 years in Purchase or Procurement, preferably in retail or grocery or FMCG
- Strong experience in vendor sourcing and management and logistics and delivery tracking
- Proven ability in price negotiation, cost control, and cost optimization strategies
- Good knowledge of PO processing, supplier coordination and follow-ups
- Excellent problem-solving ability and communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, ERP, and MS Office
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced retail environment
