About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Sales Controller to join our Finance & Controlling team. In this role, you will support the development of a professional sales controlling function by providing financial analyses, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with approximately two years of experience who is looking to develop analytical skills and gain exposure to strategic business decision-making.

Working closely with Sales, Finance, and Management, you will help translate financial data into meaningful insights that drive business performance.

Your Responsibilities

Sales Controlling

• Support the development and continuous improvement of the company's sales controlling function.

• Analyze sales performance by customer, product, region, and sales channel.

• Monitor gross margins, pricing developments, discounts, and product profitability.

• Prepare regular sales reports and dashboards for management.

• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the sales business.

• Support pricing analyses and profitability assessments for new business opportunities.

Performance Analysis & KPI Reporting

• Prepare and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales and business performance.

• Compare actual results against budget, forecast, and prior year.

• Analyze financial and operational variances and identify the underlying business drivers.

• Prepare variance analyses with explicit explanations and recommendations for management.

• Support the development and automation of KPI reporting and dashboards.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in preparing the annual sales budget in close cooperation with the Sales and Finance teams.

• Support monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.

• Collect, validate,



and consolidate planning data from different departments.

• Monitor budget performance throughout the year and highlight deviations from targets.

• Support scenario analyses and financial simulations to evaluate business opportunities and risks.

Business Analysis

• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to support management decisions.

• Assist in evaluating sales initiatives, promotional activities, and commercial projects.

• Support profitability analyses for customers, products, and business segments.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting quality and financial transparency.

Process Improvement

• Contribute to the optimization and standardization of reporting processes.

• Improve data quality and consistency across reporting systems.

• Support the automation of recurring reports using ERP systems, Excel, or Business Intelligence tools.

• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, IT, and other departments to improve reporting efficiency.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

• Approximately 2 years of professional experience in Controlling, Financial Analysis, Sales Controlling, or a similar finance role.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and business data.

• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Basic knowledge of management reporting and financial KPIs.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas); experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is an advantage.

• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is desirable.

• Strong attention to detail and a structured, organized way of working.

• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

• Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.

• Good command of English in speaking and writing.
