About the Role
We are looking for a curious, sharp, and passionate Writer & Researcher Intern to join our content team.
Our company is led by Sarthak Goswami, a YouTube creator known for creating engaging, informative, and commentary-driven content.
As a Writer & Researcher Intern, you will work closely with the content team to research topics, develop ideas, and write scripts for YouTube and other digital platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys going down internet rabbit holes, finding interesting stories, and turning complex information into engaging narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop topics and story ideas for YouTube videos and digital content.
- Write engaging and well-structured YouTube scripts.
- Conduct in-depth research using credible sources, news reports, articles, reports, interviews, and public databases.
- Verify facts, statistics, names, dates, and claims before they are included in scripts.
- Convert complex information into simple, transparent, and engaging storytelling.
- Develop strong hooks, narratives, transitions, and conclusions for videos.
- Research current affairs, internet trends, social issues, pop culture, business, sports, and other relevant topics.
- Keep track of trending stories and emerging conversations that could make interesting content.
- Assist in researching supporting material such as videos, images, documents, quotes, data, and references required for production.
- Work with the content/video team to refine scripts based on feedback.
- Help develop content ideas for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other platforms.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent writing and research skills.
- Strong curiosity and an ability to go beyond the first few search results.
- Good understanding of YouTube content and storytelling.
- Ability to write in a conversational, engaging, and audience-friendly style.
- Strong command of English; knowledge of Hindi/Hinglish is a plus.
- Ability to distinguish between credible information and unreliable sources
- Someone who actively follows news, YouTube, social media, internet culture, and current trends.
- Willingness to take feedback and rewrite scripts when required.
- Freshers and students with relevant writing/research experience are welcome to apply.
Preferred Experience
- Prior internship or work experience with a YouTube creator, content creator, media company, or digital publication in writing/research is preferred.
- Previous experience writing YouTube scripts, articles, blogs, newsletters, or social media content is a plus.
- Experience working directly with a creator on research, scripting, content ideation, or fact-checking will be an added advantage.
- A portfolio of writing samples or previously researched content is preferred.
Ideal Candidate You don't necessarily need extensive professional experience.
If you are the kind of person who sees an interesting topic and immediately starts researching it, questions the first source you find, and thinks about how to turn that information into a compelling story — we want to meet you.
You should be able to take a topic, find the story, verify the facts, and turn it into a script that makes someone want to keep watching.
