Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced WorkNC Programmer responsible for developing CNC machining programs using WorkNC CAM software for VMC/CNC machines, ensuring accurate and effective machining of components, moulds, dies, and tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and modify CNC machining programs using WorkNC.
- Generate toolpaths for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining as per component requirements.
- Read and interpret 2D drawings, 3D models, GD&T;, and machining specifications.
- Plan machining strategies based on component geometry and material.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Generate and simulate toolpaths to identify collisions, gouging, and machining errors.
- Optimize toolpaths to reduce machining time and improve tool life.
- Prepare and release CNC programs for VMC/CNC machining centres.
- Coordinate with CNC/VMC operators and Tool Room teams during machining.
- Modify programs based on trial results, inspection reports, and machining feedback.




- Support troubleshooting related to toolpath, dimensional accuracy, and machining issues.
- Maintain WorkNC files, CNC programs, tool lists, and related documentation.
- Ensure programs meet required quality, accuracy, productivity, and safety standards.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in WorkNC CAM software.
- Good knowledge of VMC/CNC machining processes.
- Knowledge of 3D modelling and surface machining.
- Understanding of roughing, semi-finishing, finishing, drilling, and profile machining strategies.
- Knowledge of G-code/M-code and CNC controls.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.;
- Good knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in Tool & Die, Mould, Automotive, Press Tool, or Precision Engineering industries.
- Experience with 3-axis / 4-axis / 5-axis VMC machining.
- Knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi CNC controls will be an advantage.
- Experience in high-speed machining and complex 3D components will be preferred.
