WordPress Developer

Experience: 3+ Years

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and customize WordPress themes and plugins from scratch

- Build custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields using ACF or similar tools

- Develop REST APIs and integrate third-party services with WordPress

- Create responsive, SEO-friendly, and accessible website interfaces

- Optimize website performance, security, and scalability

- Implement advanced caching strategies and database optimization

- Collaborate with designers to translate mockups into functional WordPress implementations

- Manage version control, deployment pipelines, and staging environments

- Troubleshoot and debug complex WordPress issues

- Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code following WordPress coding standards

Required Skills & Experience:

- 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience

- Deep understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, filters, and plugin/theme development

- Experience with WordPress admin customization and custom block development

- Experience with Gutenberg block editor and custom post types

- Solid understanding of SQL and database optimization

- Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows

- Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals

- Knowledge of web security best practices (OWASP, sanitization, escaping)

- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Good to Have - Technical Skills

- PHP proficiency (OOP, SOLID principles, PSR standards)





- Experience with React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+)

- Proficiency in Node.js and building backend services

- Experience with headless WordPress architecture and decoupled front-ends

- Familiarity with GraphQL for WordPress (WPGraphQL)

- Knowledge of testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Jest, React Testing Library)

- Experience with containerization (Docker) and deployment automation

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

- Experience with WordPress eCommerce solutions (WooCommerce)

- Knowledge of BDD/TDD and contemporary development practices

- AWS/GCP/Azure cloud platform experience

- Contribution to WordPress open-source projects

- Portfolio of WordPress projects demonstrating your capabilities

- Knowledge of WordPress multisite architecture

- Experience with performance profiling tools (New Relic, DataDog)

- Familiarity with WordPress VIP platform or enterprise WordPress hosting

- Background in full-stack development with multiple tech stacks

Good to Have - Digital Marketing & Analytics Skills

- SEO optimization expertise (on-page, technical SEO, schema markup)

- Experience implementing and managing Google Ads campaigns

- Proficiency with Google Tag Manager (GTM) setup, configuration, and deployment

- Google Analytics implementation and conversion tracking

- Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing

- Experience with marketing automation platforms and integrations
