Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in website development, WordPress customization, and modern web technologies. This role is suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience who are eager to build, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.

Install, configure, and customize WordPress themes and plugins.

Build responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.

Assist in implementing website layouts based on design requirements.

Update website content, images, and pages through WordPress CMS.

Troubleshoot website issues and fix bugs under guidance from senior developers.

Integrate forms, third-party plugins, APIs, and tracking tools as required.

Optimize websites for speed, performance, mobile responsiveness, and SEO.

Perform regular website updates, backups, and maintenance activities.





Test websites across different browsers and devices to ensure compatibility.

Follow coding standards and maintain proper documentation.

Required Skills

Good understanding of WordPress CMS.

Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Familiarity with WordPress themes, plugins, and page builders (Elementor preferred).

Understanding of responsive web design principles.

Basic knowledge of website hosting, domains, and DNS concepts.

Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

Understanding of website performance and SEO fundamentals.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Positive to Have

Knowledge of jQuery.

Basic understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.

Familiarity with WooCommerce.

Exposure to Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

Basic understanding of AI tools and Generative AI applications for content and productivity.

Knowledge of website security best practices.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Media, or a related field.

Relevant certifications or project experience in WordPress development will be an added advantage.

Experience

Freshers are welcome to apply.

Up to 2 years of experience in WordPress or web development preferred.
