About the Role

We are looking for a Web Developer with strong Shopify experience to design, build, customize, and maintain high-performing e-commerce websites for our US-based brand clients.

You will be responsible for turning brand and business requirements into fast, clean, mobile-friendly, conversion-focused Shopify storefronts.

This is an execution-heavy role where you will work closely with designers, PPC/marketing teams, and account managers to take websites and landing pages from concept to launch.

You will also be expected to use AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow to improve development speed, debugging, testing, and overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities1. Shopify Development

- Build and customize Shopify themes for DTC e-commerce brands.
- Develop using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Create custom Shopify sections, templates, components, and theme features.
- Develop functionality beyond standard Shopify themes and out-of-the-box capabilities.
- Convert designs and wireframes into responsive, production-ready Shopify websites.
- Build and optimize landing pages for specific campaigns and products.

1. Shopify Apps & Integrations

- Integrate third-party Shopify applications and services.
- Work with APIs and external platforms including:
- Reviews
- Subscriptions
- Loyalty
- Email/SMS
- Inventory
- ERP and other business systems
- Develop or support custom Shopify apps and integrations where required.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure reliable data flow between systems.

1. Website Performance & Conversion

- Optimize websites for page speed and performance.
- Ensure excellent mobile and responsive experiences.
- Identify and resolve technical issues that affect conversion rates.
- Work with marketing and PPC teams to improve landing-page performance.
- Implement conversion-focused UX improvements.
- Ensure websites are optimized for both usability and sales.

1. Troubleshooting & Maintenance





- Diagnose and resolve Shopify theme and storefront issues.
- Troubleshoot checkout issues, app conflicts, theme conflicts, and functionality bugs.
- Perform website QA before launches and major updates.
- Maintain existing client websites and implement ongoing improvements.
- Ensure websites remain stable, secure, and functional after deployment.

1. Collaboration & Client Delivery

- Work closely with designers, PPC/marketing teams, and account managers.
- Translate business and design requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in discussions and updates related to US-based clients when required.
- Manage development timelines aligned with US client deadlines.
- Take ownership of projects from initial requirement/wireframe through launch.
- Communicate technical challenges, dependencies, and timelines clearly.

1. AI-Assisted Development

- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools as part of the development workflow.
- Use AI for coding, debugging, research, testing, documentation, and QA.
- Evaluate and validate AI-generated code before deployment.
- Continuously identify opportunities to use AI to improve development speed and quality.
- Stay current with emerging AI-assisted development practices and tools.

1. Code Quality & Documentation

- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Follow version control and development best practices using Git.
- Maintain appropriate technical documentation.
- Ensure changes are properly tested before deployment.
- Follow consistent coding and development standards across projects.

1. Other Web Platforms

- Support development work on other platforms such as WordPress, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce when client requirements demand it.
- Be flexible in working across different technologies and client environments.

Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional web development experience.
- Solid hands-on experience with Shopify development.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid.
- Strong command of:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- Experience developing and customizing Shopify themes.
- Experience with Shopify APIs, custom apps, and third-party integrations.
- Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first web development.




- Knowledge of website performance and page-speed optimization.
- Experience with Git/version control.
- Working experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Positive understanding of UX and conversion-focused website development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with React or similar JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience developing custom Shopify apps.
- Experience working with Shopify APIs.
- Experience with WooCommerce or BigCommerce.
- Experience working with e-commerce brands or DTC businesses.
- Understanding of CRO and e-commerce best practices.
- Experience working with US-based clients or international teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field.
- Shopify development certifications or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- A strong portfolio of Shopify websites or live e-commerce stores is highly preferred.
