Role Description Cultural Exchanges is building CEPS —

- Cultural Exchanges Provenance System, an initiative focused on art documentation, provenance, research and responsible digital cultural heritage.

We are looking for motivated individuals who would like to contribute as:

- Provenance Research Volunteers The work may include researching artworks and artists, organising archival information, entering and verifying data, documenting sources, and supporting the development of our provenance records.

This is an opportunity to gain practical exposure to art research, provenance, documentation, cultural heritage and emerging digital standards while contributing to an institution being built for the long term.

Qualifications

- Strong research and analysis skills, including the ability to gather information from diverse sources, evaluate credibility, and synthesize insights into concise documents.
- Excellent written communication skills for preparing briefs, reports, and concept notes, with clear, structured, and accessible language.
- Experience or interest in contemporary art, cultural studies, social impact, or related fields, with an understanding of cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Proficiency with digital tools for remote work (e.g., online collaboration platforms, document management systems, and basic data organization tools).
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and coordinate multiple tasks in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills to ensure accurate records of research and project activities.
- Relevant academic or professional background in arts, humanities, social sciences, or a related discipline; equivalent experience is also valued.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices, and an openness to diverse cultural and spiritual perspectives.
