Role Description The Visa Counsellor is a full time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The person in this role will guide students through visa application processes for multiple countries, including explaining requirements, preparing documentation checklists, and reviewing forms for accuracy and completeness. Daily tasks include conducting counselling sessions, managing student queries via email and phone, coordinating with admissions and coaching teams, and maintaining updated knowledge of visa regulations and timelines.

The Visa

Counsellor will track application status, follow up with students on pending documents,



and ensure all processes align with the latest immigration and consular guidelines. The role also involves maintaining detailed records, preparing reports, and contributing to process improvements that enhance the applicant experience.

Qualifications

- Strong counselling and advisory skills, with the ability to explain complex visa processes clearly and support applicants in decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including confident spoken and written English and the ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple applications, maintain accurate documentation, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills for reviewing documents, identifying discrepancies, and staying updated on changing visa regulations.
- Proficiency with basic office software and online tools used for application tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Prior experience in visa counselling, overseas education consulting, or a related field is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; education in international relations, administration, or counselling is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
