Job Purpose
- The Project leader is responsible to lead CAE activity for vehicle development programs including planning, coordination, and execution.
- Improve the understanding of physical phenomena and modelling parts and systems within his scope
- Ensure technological monitoring and carry out competitor analysis actions
- Define digital simulation methods and modelling and ensure their development
- Ensure capitalization of digital simulation methods
Responsibilities
- Responsible to lead the digital evaluation to achieve performances targets
- Conduct Periodic review and validate the R/C mechanism and C/M directions
- Responsible to report to stake holders to get agreement for C/M
- Adhere to Project management compliance
- Responsible to confirm the targets with customer performance team.
- Responsible to optimize & Cost & Mass CAE Targets.
- Analyze risk and initiate avoidance activities.
Establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating
corrective action.
Experience
- Strong experience of 7 to 12 years in Crash domain
Relevant Experience
- Led Full Vehicle Crashworthiness & Occupant Safety development activities for multiple vehicle programs, driving safety performance from concept through production.
- Served as Crash CAE Performance Lead, managing simulation-based vehicle safety attribute development and virtual sign-off activities.
- Directed a team of CAE engineers in achieving compliance with Bharat NCAP, Euro NCAP, Global NCAP, FMVSS 208/214, UN R94, UN R95, and UN R137 requirements.
- Performed and coordinated full vehicle crash simulations including Frontal Impact, Offset Deformable Barrier (ODB), Full Frontal, Side Impact, Pole Impact, Rear Impact, Roof Crush, and Pedestrian Protection assessments.
- Developed and optimized crash and restraint systems to improve occupant protection, injury metrics, structural integrity, and regulatory compliance.
- Provided technical leadership as Principal Crash Analyst, driving root-cause investigations and proposing design improvements for enhanced vehicle safety performance.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams including Design, Body Engineering, Restraints, Testing, and Program Management during full vehicle development programs.
- Conducted crashworthiness evaluations using LS-DYNA and PAM-CRASH, supporting vehicle-level safety attribute targets and program milestones.
- Built, modified, and validated finite element models using ANSA and HyperMesh, ensuring high-quality simulation models and accurate results.
- Performed post-processing and result interpretation using META, HyperView, and Animator, enabling efficient decision-making and design optimization.
- Utilized OptiStruct for structural optimization studies to balance vehicle safety, weight reduction, and performance requirements.
- Managed project timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication while leading global crash CAE activities across multiple vehicle platforms.
- Achieved solid CAE-to-test correlation through systematic model validation and continuous improvement of crash simulation methodologies.
