As an Embedded Software Architect at TICMPL, you will leverage your expertise to lead complex engineering projects in a key role within the software team. Your work will require advanced software architecture skills, the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, and a strong focus on product development. Youll need to clearly articulate technical concepts and potential challenges while working independently to find optimal solutions.
You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the software architecture for all primary ecu’s on an electric vehicle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance software designs. Leveraging your expertise in electric vehicle domain, MATLAB and embedded software, you will lead the development of innovative solutions that redefine the driving experience.
Role & responsibilities
- Design and architect end-to-end application software components for all electric vehicle functions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that the architecture meets both functional and non-functional requirements
- Conduct code reviews to ensure that the implementation aligns with the architectural vision and adheres to quality standards
- Setup and upgrade of AI in the loop SDLC cycle
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them, ensuring the robustness and reliability of the software
- Ensure that the architecture supports optimal performance, scalability, and maintainability of the software system
- Champion the software architecture standards, guidelines,
and best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Assist in the implementation of software for embedded systems when necessary.
- Provide estimates and break down work for sales support, as well as develop detailed specifications.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation (diagrams, design specifications, technical guidelines)
- Consult with clients on current features and architecture designs.
- Act as a catalyst for innovation within the software team.
- Potentially fulfil the role of Software Product Owner.
- Define and manage requirements on Functional safety, cybersecurity and various homologation regulations.
- Should be able to conduct DFMEA, HARA, TARA, HAZOP.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to drive continuous innovation
- Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities for performance optimization and efficiency improvements in automotive electronic systems, protocols, and software through advanced analysis and testing.
- Reliability: Support team for defining and reviewing test specifications for various testing techniques such as Unit Testing, MISRAC Static Analysis Testing, Bench Testing to ensure reliability, scalability,
and performance under various conditions.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and QA teams to integrate software components into embedded systems.
- Collaborate with product management to prioritize features, estimate development efforts, and deliver high-quality software on schedule.
- Develop and document software designs, ASWCs, and technical specifications for internal and external reference.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor/Masters in software engineering, E&E;, computer science or equivalent degree
- Previous experience as a System / Software Architect in Automotive Systems
- 8 - 12 years overall professional experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess skills in high-level software design, including making crucial choices about technologies and standards.
- Effective communication with clients, technical leadership, and team collaboration are vital
- System Analysis and Design, understand the system architecture, design patterns, and scalability and apply in the supported domains
- Should be strong in embedded C/C++, MATLAB Simulink model, State-flow model, Code generation from MATLAB, CAPL, Python or any scripting language. Should be able to implement clean, efficient, and maintainable.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with Functional Safety (ISO26262) and cybersecurity principles and practices in automotive systems.
- Understanding about MAAB guidelines, MISRA C guidelines.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
