Role Description

Join as a Senior Playwright Automation Test Engineer / SDET (8+ years experience). Own UI and API test automation using Playwright and Selenium, build and scale automation frameworks, and integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines. This role combines robust core Java/SDET fundamentals with hands-on Playwright expertise, and works closely with developers to drive test coverage from PRDs. Exposure to Agentic Gen AI/Claude (through PoC or implementation) is a strong plus.

Location: Pune (Hybrid – Mon, Wed, Fri office days)

Responsibilities

- Create, maintain, and execute automated UI and API test scripts using Playwright.
- Build and enhance scalable, reusable automation frameworks.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git) for continuous testing.
- Validate web application functionality across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit.
- Partner with developers to analyze PRDs, identify gaps, and ensure high test coverage.
- Analyze test results and report defects using tools like Jira.

Requirements

Education: BE/B.Tech/MTech/MCS (Computer Science).

Must-Have Skills:

- 8+ years of relevant experience, including core Java and API test automation (SDET background).
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright; working experience with Selenium.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience with UI testing, API testing (REST/JSON), and backend validation.
- Knowledge of Docker, cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs), and BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
- Agile/Scrum experience; CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git).

Nice-to-Have: Exposure to Agentic Gen AI/Claude (PoC or implementation); ISTQB; AI testing tools.
